Bays Laundry is the Top of the South Islands leading commercial laundry operation and is operated by Top of the South leading women's golfer, Debbie Smith.

Debbie Smith bought Motueka Dry-cleaners in 1991.  Bays has since diversified into commercial laundry servicing the whole Nelson-Marlborough region.  They currently employ 25 full time and 10 part time staff and operate 7 days a week when required.

Bays Laundry provides rental overalls, mats, continuous towels, tea towels and washroom services to the commercial sector.  They also service the hospitality industry with linen for motels/hotels and table linen for the restaurant trade.  Bays Laundry is also able to clean customer's own items from the commercial sector.  Bays Laundry focuses on what the customer wants and has implemented many colour and design changes to make their customers be distinctive in their industries.

When Bays Laundry started in rental overalls business, all that was offered by other operations was basically grey or blue overalls.  Now many customers have two-colour overalls reflecting their business identities or staff choices.  With Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) playing a large part in how businesses relate to safety issues, Bays Laundry now also supplies high visibility (hi-viz) garments.  As Bays Laundry are able to clean these garments on an industrial scale the hi-viz strips remain effective longer, maintaining high safety standards to the customer.
